SUMMARY Tucker-Rose Associates is seeking a Technical CaptureProposal Writer to participate in proposal writing and support the crafting of technical volumes in responding to RFP, RFI and Sources Sought released by the Federal Government from both DoD and VA. For the past decade we have maintained a leading position in providing programming and consulting services primarily with the Dept of Veteran Affairs. RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting directly to the PresidentCEO, the Proposal Writer is responsible for Writing, editing and conceptual development of technical content to create compelling proposals (primary responsibility) Working closely with cross-functional teams including Business Development, Subject Matter Experts, and other departments to gather information needed for the development of a proposal Participate in responding to Federal Government RFIs, RFPs at the IDIQ and Task Order level, and other responses at the contract program level as needed Participate in analyzing RFPsRFQsRFIs Supporting several proposals simultaneously in a high-volume, quick-turnaround environment Meeting proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval coordinating requirements with all contributors and contributing deliverable status information to review meetings. Maintaining and developing technical baseline content for ongoing use by the team Editing and proofreading proposals and other relevant materials ensuring accuracy, clarity, readability Ensuring all proposal assignments align with standards, branding guidelines and company policies Supporting other departmental writing needs as required Participate in all proposal-related meetings such as Kick off, Win Theme Strategy, and Technical Solutions Collaborate closely with technical subject matter experts, to obtain sufficient information such as processes, methods and techniques required to author proposal sections, including technical approaches, management plans, and other content Assemble proposal content authored by other writers into cohesive, compliant technical proposals Incorporates and address feedback and comments from Color team reviews Ensure content authored meets the compliance requirements Translate technical conversations into winning Federal proposal solutions Interview SMEs and developwrite technical solutions REQUIRED SKILLSEDUCATION Minimum of 5 years of government proposal writing or related experience Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field Prior experience capturing and responding to FederalVA RFP's including but not limited to GSA 70, T4NG, VECTOR, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat Strong leadership, organizational, planning, communication, follow-up and time management skills Ability to multi-task and work against strict deadlines is critical skill in juggling multiple projects at a given time Strict attention to detail must be able to author and lead sections of a proposal, have the ability to review and edit proposal content for clarity, grammar, and proper use of technical or customer terminology Availability and willingness to work long hours on short notice during high volume proposal development periods Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong editing skills must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management Demonstrated understanding of proposal development process and management techniques working knowledge of the Shipley methodology andor APMP Certification is a plus
