Summary: Responsible for analyzing loan applications, making loans, generating interest income, monitoring and servicing existing loan customers, making credit decisions, collecting on loans and marketing the Bank's services and products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Perform lending duties. This includes the following: Meet with existing and potential customers; Review loan applications and financial information, oversee the preparation of documentation and completing loan closing and maintaining proper file documentation, handling denials and withdrawals; Maintain active portfolio management by reviewing and analyzing financial ratios, cash flows, and credit history as well as collateral documentation, and promptly addressing credit and collateral documentation exceptions, appropriate and timely risk grading for each managed relationship; Inspect collateral to monitor condition and value; Review and approve loan documentation to ensure accurate lien perfection;Manage past due and problem loans relationships; preparation of sound workout strategy to either rehab or exit the relationship. This requires timely customer communication to update the problem loan action plan and monitoring compliance with the established plan. Review of collateral lien perfection and inspecting collateral and documenting current value(s). Repossessing of collateral when necessary;Provide credit counseling when warranted; Soliciting sound loan requests which meet the bank's lending philosophy and conform to Policy guidelines which protects bank's assets; Service accounts relationships by approving various negotiable instruments for deposit, transferring funds, authorizing checks for cashing and determining disposition of daily overdrafts. Develop new deposit and loan relationships. This includes the following: Foster business development by active call program participation at least equaling minimum number of required calls; Focus on growth of all direct and ancillary products and services to increase market share for Business Development within primary market. (Lending, deposit, treasury management, mortgage lending, investments, trust products and services); Establish and maintain open customer communication to identify their banking needs and determining new and better ways to market Bank products and services, as well as developing new product recommendations that will generate additional business opportunities; Service account relationships by approving various negotiable instruments for deposit, transferring funds, authorizing checks for cashing, and determining disposition of daily overdraft; Visit with existing customers to obtain potential business referrals; Work with customers regarding complaint resolution and/or problems ensuring customer satisfaction with Bank products and services:Participate actively in community involvement and civic activities; Serve actively on local or regional loan committees if applicable and providing meaningful dialogue during this process; and Perform other work related duties, as assigned. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field required; Five Years Commercial Lending experience required; and Banking experience required.
