Sysco, a world leader in the foodservice industry, is currently seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious CDL-A Delivery Driver to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely, safe, and accurate delivery of food products to our diverse range of clients including restaurants, healthcare, and educational facilities. As part of our logistics team, you will be instrumental in maintaining Sysco’s reputation for outstanding service. This role not only requires excellent driving skills but also strong customer service abilities, as you will interact directly with our customers. Operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies. Ensure the safe and timely delivery of products to customers, verifying orders and ensuring the accuracy of delivery. Maintain communication with the dispatch team to report any issues or delays during the route. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle, reporting any problems or maintenance needs. Manage delivery paperwork, ensuring all invoices and delivery records are processed accurately. Assist in unloading products at customer locations using appropriate equipment and adhering to safety practices. Build positive relationships with customers during each interaction. Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) Clean driving record Ability to maneuver and control heavy vehicles Familiarity with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB) Ability to handle physical workload Effective communication and high level of customer service skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid CDL-A License DOT Medical Certification HAZMAT Endorsement is a plus
