Job Description Job Description Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Warehouse Associate with sit-down and stand-up forklift experience and a background in electrical distribution in South Austin. As a Warehouse Associate, you’ll support daily warehouse operations including inventory handling, shipping and receiving, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment for electrical distribution products. As a Warehouse Associate you’ll be responsible for: Operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, move, and stage materials safely and efficiently. Picking and preparing customer orders accurately based on pick lists and work orders. Receiving incoming shipments and verifying them against packing slips and purchase orders. Handling, stocking, and organizing electrical distribution materials including conduit, wire, lighting, panels, breakers, and fittings. Maintaining inventory accuracy by performing regular cycle counts and reporting discrepancies. Using inventory software and warehouse management systems to track product movement and update records. Assisting drivers with loading and unloading delivery trucks and managing will-call customer orders. Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety guidelines. Communicating with team members and supervisors to meet shipping and receiving schedules. Supporting general warehouse duties as needed including labeling, repackaging, and restocking materials. What you’ll need: 2 years of warehouse experience in electrical distribution or a similar industrial environment (required) Proficiency in operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts (certification preferred). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced setting. Familiarity with electrical supply products and warehouse best practices. Comfortable using inventory systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, warehouse software). A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-oriented mindset. High school diploma or equivalent required.
