Creek Municipal Utility District enjoys the quiet rural aspects of

amenities. The Organization: Brushy Creek Municipal Utility
District is home to 18,000 residents. Formed initially as
Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD
provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities,
beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy
Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis
courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community. At the
heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our
Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight
room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various
fun activities, educational and fitness classes. Brushy Creek
employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team

Position Summary: Brushy Creek MUD is hiring Seasonal Lifeguards to
be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all pool
patrons by maintaining constant surveillance, enforcing safety
rules, responding to emergencies, and providing excellent customer
service. This position supports the District's brand strategy and
promotes The Brushy Creek Life by creating a welcoming, safe, and
positive aquatic environment. Essential Job Functions: Safety &
Surveillance: Monitors pool activities to prevent accidents and
identify hazardous conditions. Maintains constant alertness and
responds quickly to swimmers in distress. Performs water rescues,
first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures as required.
Conducts routine safety inspections of pool areas and equipment.
Operational Support: Assists with daily pool operations, including
opening and closing duties. Maintains safety equipment and reports
equipment needs to Head Lifeguards. Performs general facility
upkeep, including cleaning pool decks, offices, and restrooms.
Supports overall facility maintenance and cleanliness. Customer
Service & Communication: Enforces pool rules courteously and
professionally. Assists patrons with swim tests and safety
guidelines. Responds to guest questions and concerns. Completes
incident reports and educates patrons on safety policies. Cash
Handling: Processes admission transactions accurately following
established cash-handling procedures. Maintains secure handling of
funds during shifts. Balances cash drawers and reconciles daily
totals. Training & Professional Development: Attends mandatory
in-service trainings. Maintains required certifications. Stays
current on safety procedures and rescue protocols. Additional
Responsibilities: Attend 4 hours of in-service training per month.
Maintains activity logs and reports. Presents a professional
appearance and demeanor at all times. Supports the District's
recycling and sustainability initiatives. Engages positively with
patrons to enhance customer experience and brand loyalty. Performs
other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least
15 years of age. Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding with First
Aid/CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification. Strong
swimming ability and demonstrated proficiency in required strokes.
Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure or emergency
situations. Strong customer service skills. Ability to work
flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and teamwork. Knowledge of
American Red Cross lifeguarding standards and BCMUD emergency
procedures. Strong judgment and decision-making skills. Effective
verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow
workplace health and safety protocols. Preferred Qualifications:
Previous lifeguarding experience. Competitive swimming background.
American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification.
Strong multitasking and time-management abilities. Leadership
skills to enforce rules through communication and professionalism.
Dependable work habits and positive attitude. Ability to work
effectively under supervision and in team environments. Schedule:
Seasonal - Work schedules will vary. Minimum 15 to 20 hours per
