Job Description:
HCA Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered
Nurse for our PACU PreOp unit to deliver compassionate,
patient-centered care at our state-of-the-art facilities. As a PACU
PreOp Nurse, you will play a critical role in preparing patients
for surgery and ensuring safe recovery from anesthesia. Join our
team and contribute to a culture focused on improving every human
life by providing expert care and support in our dynamic healthcare
settings. Assess patient condition before surgery and provide
appropriate intervention. Monitor patients for condition changes
and respond with appropriate treatments. Prepare the PACU area and
ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available. Provide
recovery care post-anesthesia, monitoring vital signs and managing
pain. Educate patients and families on post-surgery care and
recovery expectations. Collaborate with surgical teams and other
healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Strong
nursing skills with a focus on surgical and recovery care. Ability
to monitor and administer medications effectively. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. High level of detail for
monitoring patients and documenting health records. Capable of
critical thinking and swift decision-making in high-pressure
situations. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse license in the state of
employment. BLS certification required. ACLS certification
preferred.
