Job Description /n /n /n POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
/nCounsels and assists patients and their families with personal
and environmental difficulties which predispose illnesses or which
creates obstacles in receiving maximum quality of care. Acts as a
therapeutic agent by participating within a multi-disciplinary
health and mental health teams. Facilitates the delivery of
services and support is provided efficiently and in a timely
manner. Maintains good working, patient/provider/staff
relationships. Complies with and enforces University Health
policies and procedures. /n/n EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE /nMaster's
degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on
Social Work Education is required. One year's post master's degree
experience in a health care setting is preferred. /n/n LICENSURE
/nCurrent state licensure from the Texas Department of Human
Services is required. /n /n /n
