Job Description Job Description Vista Vet Animal Hospital & Pet Lodge is seeking a Kennel Technician to join our team! Our kennel team is dedicated to maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, clients, and staff. In this role, you will focus on patient husbandry and care as well as general housekeeping duties throughout the hospital. You will provide meals and walks to boarding patients, administer medication, and monitor for any medical or behavioral concerns while providing detailed documentation about your observations. You will ensure kennels, common spaces, and treatment areas are sanitized and well stocked with supplies. This position is ideal for those who are self-driven, detail-oriented, enjoy cleaning and organization, and are committed to contributing to a team-focused environment. This is a Part-Time position with the following schedule: Week 1 - Sunday 8am-11am & Monday 7am-5pm Week 2 - Sunday 8am-11am & 5pm-7pm Monday 7am-1pm & Friday 1pm-7pm Additional hours may be available to cover time off for other staff members Part-Time Benefits and Compensation Compensation: $12-$14 per hour, for each hour worked* Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law Personal pet discounts Uniform allowance Long-term professional growth And more Minimum Qualifications and Skillset: Previous kennel experience highly desired 18 years of age or older required Proficiency in the following skills: Exceptional customer service Thrives in a team environment Self-motivated Canine bathing experience a plus!
