QUALIFICATIONS: Education - Minimum of a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy Current Texas Physical Therapist License in good standing DUTIES: Perform an comprehensive examination/assessment of the patient Formulate a diagnosis, prognosis and plan Provide consultation within their expertise and determine when the patient needs to be referred to another healthcare professional Implement a physical therapist intervention/treatment program Determine the outcomes of any interventions/treatments Make recommendations for self management Train caregivers on carryover exercises that can be safely performed by a non-licensed person Thoroughly document assessment findings and treatment interventions to support services rendered Supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants with compliance with Board requirements. Participate in in-service training offered by the agency or through outside resources.
