Certified Surgical Technologist Location: Austin, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,810 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/8/2026 About the Position Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician CVOR Profession: Certified Surgical Technician Specialty: Certified Surgical Technician CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 AM - 05:00 PM Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years recent full-time experience as a CVOR technologist in a high-volume hospital setting License: Current CST certification required Certifications: BLS certification Must-Have: - Candidates must have demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. - Candidates must be able to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment. - Candidates must participate in call coverage for the service line after normal business hours and weekends. Description: The CVOR service line provides surgical interventions for routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. Cardiac procedures include coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, placement of ventricular assist devices, and may include placement of impella or intra-aortic balloon pump placement as well as adult ECMO. TAVR procedures are also done in the endovascular operating room. Thoracic cases include both laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and open procedures. Vascular procedures range from placement/revision of ESRD grafts/fistulas to endovascular procedures in the endovascular operating room. The CVOR service line is comprised of 4-6 operating rooms depending on daily volume including an endovascular suite. The CVOR service line has the capacity to perform four concurrent procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass. Candidates applying must have verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed. Candidates with less experience or requiring extensive onboarding will not be considered. The schedule will consist of either 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, based on department needs at the time of the interview.
