Job Title: RN - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: ICU experience with vents and vasoactive drips Description: Contract position for an RN in the ICU. This role requires the ability to work in a complex and fast-paced environment. The unit consists of 24 beds with a patient ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients. Staffing includes both day and night shifts. On day shift, 1 CNC, 10 RNs, and 1 PCT will care for a census of 20 patients. Night shift staff includes 1 CNC and 10 RNs. The unit utilizes advanced equipment including vents, ECMO, and various monitoring devices. Candidates with experience in CVVHD, IABP, and post-operative recovery of CABG patients are preferred. Responsibilities include performing procedures such as trach placements, A-lines, central lines, and chest tubes. Teamwork and open feedback are essential within the unit culture.
