*Sign on Bonus $5,000 (to be paid over a year)Jourdanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is currently searching for talented Nurses to join our team! We have FT 7p-7a available.Facility address is 1504 E. State Hwy 97 Jourdanton, Tx. 78026.Our facilities deliver outstanding care as well as foster strong employee bonds. We are changing how care is delivered by bringing together people like you: compassionate, highly skilled, and motivated to make a difference!The primary purpose of the position is to ensure the highest quality of resident care available, support staff and establish a positive reputation in the community while delivering on the Eduro HealthCare Values of wellness, compassion, customer experience and company results.Assume the authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to carry out the duties of this job.Receive report at the beginning of each shift. Assess the physical and emotional status of each resident and evaluate their need for continued or immediate care.Delegate responsibility for the direct care of each resident to appropriate nursing personnel according to needs, physical layout of care areas and staff ability.Be responsible for all phases of direct resident care, within the guidelines of the Nurse Practice Act.Ensure that nursing staff perform all restorative measures recommended in the plan of care and required by each residents condition. Report all incidents of change in residents condition to the Director of Nursing.Assist physicians on rounds and keep them informed of the status of each resident, changes in condition and medical emergencies.Plan working schedule to allow for education, supervision, and evaluations of performance for all nursing personnel during the shift.Maintain completeness of resident charts and individual care plans, making sure entries are timely, informative, and descriptive of residents condition.Write daily nursing notes on all skilled residents, and monthly summary notes on each resident according to posted schedule.Be responsible for timely execution of all physician orders, including laboratory testing, specialized therapy orders, and preparation and administration of all medications as indicated.Ensure that Care Center policies and procedures are applied and respected by all employees during their shift.Collect specimens for testing, according to physician orders, and fill out necessary laboratory request slips as well as secure laboratory reports in a timely fashion.Be responsible for the maintenance and upgrading of personal nursing skills through regular attendance at in service sessions, community classes and workshops.Count narcotics with the oncoming nurse, as needed, to ensure accurate report.Give report to oncoming shift nurse.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust be a licensed LVN/ RN in good standing in the state where employedSuccessful completion of a training and competency evaluation program requiredCompletion of orientation required by company policy.Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.Mandatory drug test upon hire.Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.At Eduro, we embrace our core values of:Wellness: I am Ready to improve any situation.Compassion: I am Compassionate and understanding.Experience: I am Empowered to exceed expectations.Results: I am Valued and included in improving overall results.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
