in it.The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Director of
E-commerce and Digital Strategy to lead the strategic and
day-to-day operations of our e-commerce department. This role is
ideal for a performance-driven leader with deep experience in
optimizing the full funnel experience, SEO strategy, driving
high-converting UX, and managing paid media strategies at scale.
You'll own the full e-commerce experience across
custom.sockclub.com, from site performance and conversion rate
optimization (CRO) to paid acquisition, SEO, and overall
strategy.This role reports directly to the VP of Marketing and
requires collaboration across Marketing, Sales, Creative,
Development, and Customer Service teams to ensure our business
scales with our growth goals.Primary Responsibilities
- Own the B2B e-commerce strategy - from traffic acquisition to
conversion - with full P&L responsibility for digital
revenue
- Spearhead initiative to regain #1 Google ranking for "custom
socks" and improve overall organic search strategy
- Develop and execute a roadmap for site UX, CRO, and SEO;
grounded in data, customer insights and business priorities
- Lead, develop, and grow a talented digital marketing team
(currently 2+ direct reports)
- Architect and continuously improve the full-funnel user journey
for two primary customer types: direct buyers (end clients) and
agency/bulk resellers
- Build and maintain an experimentation framework to test and
scale new features, layouts, and content that drive conversion and
increase AOV
- Develop and expand B2B-focused paid social advertising
campaigns across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and programmatic
platforms
- Manage and optimize a monthly advertising budget of
approximately $100,000, with potential to scale based on ROAS
- Enhance our presence and performance on industry listing sites
(SAGE, ESP) and other digital marketplaces
- Optimize product discovery, bundling, and upsell paths to
enhance average order value and sales velocity
- Analyze performance data using GA4, heatmaps, and analytics
tools to identify opportunities and inform prioritization
- Partner with Sales and CS to align e-commerce initiatives with
lead qualification processes and back-end systems
- Track, analyze, and report on key digital marketing KPIs
including new organic search traffic, CPL, CAC, ROAS, and on-site
conversion rates
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of
digital initiatives with overall business goals
- Stay ahead of B2B e-commerce trends, promotional product
industry shifts, and MarTech developments - acting as the internal
expert for all things digital commerceQualifications
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 2
years in a management role
- Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B e-commerce space
- Proven success managing B2B digital marketing campaigns
- Strong background in SEO strategy and implementation
- Experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO) and UX best
practices for B2B user flows
- Skilled in A/B and multivariate testing, funnel analysis, and
growth experimentation
- Proficiency with key platforms including Hubspot, Posthog, GA4,
Webflow, and CRO/UX tools (Hotjar, VWO, Optimizely, etc.)
- Experience with paid social advertising across Google, Meta,
LinkedIn, and programmatic platforms
- Technical knowledge of Java, Python, or other programming
languages is a plus
- Proficient in leveraging AI tools for marketing automation,
personalization, and performance optimization
- Knowledge of digital marketplace optimization and
management
- Experience managing and mentoring marketing team members
- Demonstrated ability to manage significant advertising budgets
effectively
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and
experience using data to drive decision-making
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced,
entrepreneurial environment
