Job Description Job Description The Operations Manager will oversee all day-to-day operations of our residential HVAC service department. This individual must have a proven track record of successfully running a residential HVAC service company, driving revenue growth, improving operational efficiency, and leading field and office teams. We are looking for a hands-on leader who understands service, maintenance, replacement sales, dispatch, technician performance metrics, and customer satisfaction at a high level. Key Responsibilities - Oversee daily operations of the residential HVAC service department - Manage and lead service technicians, installers, dispatch, and office staff - Drive revenue growth through service, maintenance agreements, and replacement opportunities - Monitor KPIs including ticket average, conversion rates, callbacks, margins, and technician productivity - Implement and refine operational processes for efficiency and scalability - Ensure compliance with all TDLR regulations and company standards - Manage scheduling, fleet oversight, and inventory control - Develop training programs and mentor team members - Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and quality control - Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance tracking Minimum Qualifications (Required) - 10 years of experience running a residential service HVAC company - Proven leadership experience managing service teams - Strong financial and operational acumen - Minimum Class B HVAC License (TDLR required) - Deep knowledge of residential HVAC service operations - Experience with flat-rate pricing and performance-based service models - Strong understanding of HVAC compliance and safety standards - Excellent communication and team leadership skills Preferred Qualifications - Experience scaling a residential HVAC company - Background in sales management within HVAC service - Experience implementing performance tracking systems and KPIs - Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar CRM platforms Compensation & Benefits - Competitive salary (based on experience) - Performance-based bonuses - Company vehicle or vehicle allowance - Paid time off - Opportunities for growth within AMG Contractors Company Description AMG is a leading provider of commercial construction services, committed to delivering reliable, energy-efficient solutions to our clients.
